Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into a patty.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bun

During the last minute of cooking, place the hamburger bun cut-side down on the grill or skillet to toast lightly.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese (Optional)

If you are adding cheese, place a slice of cheddar cheese on the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  5. 5

    Cook Bacon (Optional)

In a separate pan, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the cooked patty (with or without cheese), tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles. If using, add crispy bacon on top. Finish with the top half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the burger immediately with your favorite sides.
