Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Octopus

Rinse the octopus under cold water and remove any beak and innards. Pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Octopus

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and paprika. Add the octopus and ensure it is well coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Octopus

Remove the octopus from the marinade and let excess oil drip off. Place it on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it develops a nice char and is cooked through.

  3. 5

    Prepare Lemon and Parsley

While the octopus is grilling, chop the fresh parsley and cut the lemons into wedges.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Octopus

Once the octopus is grilled, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the tentacles into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 7

    Serve

Arrange the octopus on a serving platter, drizzle with additional olive oil, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
