Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Flank Steak

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the flank steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Salad

While the steak is resting, slice the red onion thinly, and halve the grape tomatoes. In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, sliced red onion, and grape tomatoes.

  4. 4

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar and honey until well combined.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Salad

Slice the rested flank steak against the grain. Add the sliced steak and gorgonzola cheese to the salad bowl. Drizzle with the balsamic dressing and toss gently to combine.
