Steak and Marinade
Sandwich Components
Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Steak
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade. Place the prime ribeye steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Cook the Steak
Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Grill or sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (130°F for medium-rare). Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Assemble the Sandwich
Thinly slice the rested steak against the grain. Place a layer of sliced steak on the bottom half of each hoagie roll. Top the steak with slices of provolone cheese, followed by a generous portion of caramelized onions and fresh arugula. Drizzle horseradish sauce over the top to taste, then place the top half of the roll on the sandwich.
