Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. In a bowl, mix the cookie crumbs with melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes and then remove from the oven to cool.

  2. 2

    Layer the ice cream

Once the crust has cooled, scoop the mint chip ice cream into the crust. Spread it evenly with a spatula. Return the pie to the freezer for about 2 hours to firm up.

  3. 3

    Add fudge layer

After the ice cream has set, warm the hot fudge sauce slightly until pourable. Pour the fudge sauce over the ice cream layer and spread evenly. Place the pie back in the freezer for another 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Top with whipped cream

Remove the pie from the freezer and spread the whipped cream over the fudge layer. Sprinkle chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips on top for decoration.

  5. 5

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Slice and serve immediately or return to the freezer until ready to serve.
