Fresh Berry Lemonade Ingredients
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Lemonade Base
Juice the lemons into a measuring cup, removing any seeds. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice. In a saucepan, combine the lemon juice and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add 4 cups of water and bring to a gentle simmer. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 2
Muddle the Berries
In a large pitcher, add the fresh berries of your choice (strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries). Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently mash the berries to release their juices.
- 3
Combine and Chill
Once the lemonade base has cooled, pour it into the pitcher with the muddled berries. Stir well to combine. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- 4
Serve the Lemonade
Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the berry lemonade mixture over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full. Top each glass with equal parts sparkling water and lemon-lime soda. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional berries if desired.
