Butterscotch Blondie
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Blondie Batter
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
- 2
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- 3
Add Mix-ins
Fold in the butterscotch chips and chopped macadamia nuts until evenly distributed in the batter.
- 4
Bake the Blondies
Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
- 5
Assemble the Sundae
Place a warm blondie square in a bowl, top with a generous scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, and drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve immediately.
