For the Chicken Strips
Method
For the Chicken Strips
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken strips and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each strip in the seasoned flour mixture, coating evenly. Shake off any excess flour.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken strips in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
