Method

Bread Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Dough

Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or divide it into individual rolls.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  8. 8

    Bake Bread

Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 9

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 10

    Spread the Butter

Once the bread is baked and slightly cooled, slice it in half or into pieces, and spread the garlic butter generously on the cut surfaces.

  3. 11

    Final Bake

Return the buttered bread to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until the butter is melted and the edges are crispy.
