1. Making the Chips
Cut the corn tortillas into triangles. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the tortilla pieces in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the chips and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while still warm.
2. Making the Guacamole
In a mixing bowl, scoop out the avocados and mash them with a fork until smooth. Add lime juice, finely chopped red onion, diced tomato, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
