Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the filet mignon with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Cook the filet mignon for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Preparing the Lobster

  1. 3

    Prepare the Lobster

Preheat the broiler. Cut the lobster tails in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.

  2. 4

    Broil the Lobster

Melt butter in a small saucepan and add garlic, lemon juice, and paprika. Brush the mixture over the lobster meat. Broil for about 8-10 minutes until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

Making Rice Pilaf

  1. 5

    Sauté the Onion

In a pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.

  2. 6

    Cook the Rice

Add the rice and salt, stirring to coat. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the filet mignon alongside the broiled lobster tail. Drizzle with any remaining butter mixture and serve with rice pilaf.
