Base Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Oatmeal

  1. 1

    Cook the Oats

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of rolled oats and 2 cups of water or milk. Add 1 tsp of salt to the mixture. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.

  2. 2

    Simmer

Let the oatmeal simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired consistency.

  3. 3

    Remove from Heat

Once cooked, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit for a minute to thicken further.

Adding Toppings

  1. 4

    Slice the Banana

While the oats are cooking, slice the medium banana into rounds.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Bowl

Spoon the cooked oatmeal into a bowl. Top with sliced bananas, 1 cup of blueberries, and sprinkle 2 tbs of cocoa nibs on top.

  3. 6

    Sweeten (Optional)

If desired, drizzle honey or maple syrup over the top to add sweetness.
