Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash the Oranges

Rinse the fresh oranges under cold running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.

  2. 2

    Cut the Oranges

Using a sharp knife, cut each orange in half horizontally.

Juicing

  1. 3

    Juice the Oranges

Using a citrus juicer or hand juicer, press each half of the orange to extract the juice. Collect the juice in a large bowl.

  2. 4

    Strain the Juice (Optional)

If you prefer pulp-free juice, strain the collected juice through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp.

Sweetening

  1. 5

    Mix in Sugar and Water

In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar and water. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Then, add this mixture to the orange juice and stir well to combine.

Serving

  1. 6

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the orange juice for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve chilled over ice if desired.
