Prepare Lemonade

Juicing the Lemons
Cut the fresh lemons in half and use a juicer or manual method to extract the juice into a measuring cup. You should aim for about 1 to 1.5 cups of lemon juice.

Mixing the Sugar
In a large pitcher, add the granulated sugar. Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir until the sugar completely dissolves.

Adding Water
Add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Taste your lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or water as desired.

Chill and Serve
For the best flavor, chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
