Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Beef and Seasoning

In a bowl, combine the Black Angus ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patty

Form the mixture into a patty approximately 1/2 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Preheat Cooking Surface

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook Patty

Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast Burger Bun

While the patty is cooking, prepare your burger bun by toasting it lightly if desired.

  2. 6

    Add Patty to Bun

Once the patty is cooked, place it on the bottom half of the burger bun.

  3. 7

    Add Toppings

Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles on top of the cheese-covered patty.

  4. 8

    Add Condiments and Close

Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then close the burger with the top half of the bun.

Cooking the Sides

  1. 9

    Prepare French Fries

For French fries, you can either fry or bake them according to package instructions until crispy and golden.

  2. 10

    Prepare Fresh Fruit

For fresh fruit, wash and cut the fruit into bite-sized pieces if necessary.
