Prepare the Bread
Cut the Butterhorn bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Make the Custard Mixture
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and gently mix to ensure all bread is soaked. Let sit for 15 minutes to absorb.

Add Mix-ins
Fold in the raisins or chocolate chips to the bread mixture.

Prepare Baking Dish
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.

Bake
Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve
Allow the bread pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
