Wings and Dry Rub
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Dry Rub
In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create an even dry rub.
- 2
Prep the Wings
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure they become crispy when cooked.
- 3
Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil until they are well coated. Then add the dry rub mixture and toss until the wings are evenly coated with the rub.
- 4
Bake the Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
- 5
Serve with Sauces
Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with your choice of sauces: ranch, BBQ, blue cheese, or buffalo.
