Country Fried Steak Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the ribeye steaks on both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let them rest for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Dredge the Steak

In a shallow bowl, combine flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dredge each steak in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

  3. 3

    Fry the Steak

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

  4. 4

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the bottom to deglaze. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry. Add to the skillet and stir until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Cook the Hash Browns

In another skillet, prepare hash browns according to package directions until crispy and golden brown. Set aside.

  6. 6

    Cook the Eggs

In a small skillet, cook eggs to your preference (fried, scrambled, etc.).

  7. 7

    Serve

On each plate, serve a ribeye steak topped with gravy, hash browns on the side, and a cooked egg. Garnish with parsley.
