1. Prepare the Chicken Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with salt and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.

2. Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

3. Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

4. Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked chicken patty with melted Swiss cheese on top, followed by lettuce leaves and slices of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

5. Serve

Serve the chicken burgers immediately with your choice of sides.
