Method
Preparation
- 1
Form the Patties
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Grill the Patties
Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 4
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
- 5
Toast the Buns
While the cheese melts, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 6
Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, place the burger patty with melted cheese, followed by two slices of crispy bacon, a generous handful of crispy fried onions, and drizzle BBQ sauce on top. Close with the top bun.
