Pasta and Sauce

Method

Preparation

1

Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Assembly

3

Combine Pasta and Sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta with the rosa sauce, mozzarella cheese, and provolone cheese. Mix well until the pasta is evenly coated.

4

Layer the Mixture

Spread half of the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Dot the top with half of the ricotta cheese, then layer the remaining pasta mixture on top.

5

Add Toppings

Spread the remaining ricotta cheese over the top of the pasta. In a small bowl, mix the Italian-style bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the ziti.

Baking

6

Bake the Ziti

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.

7

Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove the ziti from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious baked ziti!
