Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

Trim the stem ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Cut the sprouts in half.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain. Once cool, pull apart into smaller pieces.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Brussels Sprouts

In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the olive oil and garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the Brussels sprouts. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are golden brown and tender.

  4. 4

    Add the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the sautéed Brussels sprouts and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine and Serve

Add the pulled bacon to the Brussels sprouts, toss everything together, and serve warm.
