Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the Angus beef patties with salt and pepper, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  2. 2

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty, covering them with a lid to help the cheese melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Onion

While the patties are cooking, slice the onion into thin rings and sauté them in a small pan until caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the milk buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread a layer of cumin lime aioli on the bottom half of each bun. Place one Angus patty with melted cheese on each bun. Top with sautéed onions, fresh cilantro, chipotle salsa, and tortilla strips. Finish with the top half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Bandito burgers immediately with your favorite side.
