Pork Loin

Method

Preparation of Pork Loin

  1. 1

    Marinate the Pork Loin

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Rub this mixture over the pork loin, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for enhanced flavor.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Grill the Pork Loin

Remove the pork loin from the marinade and place it on the preheated grill. Grill for about 15-20 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.

  4. 4

    Rest the Pork Loin

Once cooked, remove the pork loin from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute for a more tender bite.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the pork is resting, slice the buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Slice the Pork Loin

After resting, slice the pork loin into thin slices, about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. 7

    Build the Sandwich

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with lettuce, a slice of tomato, and several slices of grilled pork loin. Top with the other half of the bun.
