Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Take the thick-cut bread slices and set them aside. You can use brioche, challah, or any other preferred type of bread.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to foam.

  2. 4

    Dip the Bread

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow excess mixture to drip off.

  3. 5

    Cook the French Toast

Place the coated bread slices in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 6

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet. Serve warm with maple syrup and powdered sugar, as desired.
