Crab Cakes
Method
Crab Cakes Preparation
- 1
Mix the Crab Cake Ingredients
In a large bowl, gently combine the jumbo lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, green onions, and beaten egg. Add breadcrumbs and mix until just combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Shape the Crab Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into patties about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Place the formed crab cakes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Chill the Crab Cakes
Cover the tray with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.
- 4
Cook the Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crisp.
- 5
Serve
Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with Creole aïoli.
