Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form into patties that are about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you may add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the lettuce, cooked patty with cheese, tomato slice, pickles, and any desired condiments such as ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve

  1. 7

    Enjoy Your Burger

Serve the burgers immediately with a side of fries or chips, if desired. Enjoy!
