Buffalo Shrimp Recipe

Prepare the Shrimp

Coat the Shrimp
In a medium bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, dip in the egg, and then coat with panko breadcrumbs.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there is enough oil to submerge the shrimp.

Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the coated shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Make the Buffalo Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and honey. Stir until well combined and heated through.
Serve

Toss and Plate
In a large bowl, toss the fried shrimp with the buffalo sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately with celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing on the side.
