Pie Ingredients

Method

Pie Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss until apples are well coated and let it sit for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  3. 3

    Assemble the Pie

Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Fill the crust with the apple mixture and dot with cubed butter. Cover with a second pie crust, sealing the edges, and cut small slits in the top to allow steam to escape.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pie

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.

  5. 5

    Cool and Serve

Allow the pie to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with creamy vanilla ice cream and drizzle with whiskey caramel sauce.
