Meatballs
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
- 2
Form Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
- 3
Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
- 4
Prepare Marinara Sauce
While the meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- 5
Cook Spaghetti
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 6
Combine
Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer together for 5 minutes.
- 7
Serve
Serve the meatballs and marinara sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Grate Grana Padano on top before serving.
