Directions
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook until they are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 4
Combine Everything
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- 5
Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
