Burger Ingredients

Truffle Dijonnaise

Caramelized Onions

Pommes Frites

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wagyu Patties

In a bowl, gently mix the Wagyu beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Gruyère

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Gruyère cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Truffle Dijonnaise Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and truffle oil. Mix until well blended.

Caramelized Onions Preparation

  1. 5

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring frequently, until golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Pommes Frites Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips. Soak in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-6 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the Burger

Spread truffle dijonnaise on the bottom bun, add the Wagyu patty with melted Gruyère, top with caramelized onions, and finish with the top bun. Serve with pommes frites on the side.
