Dip Preparation

Prepare the Chicken
If not already cooked, roast or grill chicken until fully cooked, then shred into bite-sized pieces.

Mix the Dip
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded cooked chicken, Nashville hot spice mix, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Blend Ingredients
Using a hand mixer or a spatula, blend all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.

Heat the Dip
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Soak Potatoes
Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry.

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully fry the potato slices in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

Remove the chips with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
