Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Octopus

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and the whole octopus. Cook for about 45 minutes until tender. Remove and let it cool.

2

Marinate the Octopus

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Add the cooled octopus to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

3

Grill the Octopus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until nicely charred.

4

Prepare the Yam and Daikon Salad

While the octopus is grilling, steam or boil the yam until tender, then cut it into cubes. Thinly slice the daikon. In a bowl, combine the yam, daikon, and chopped cilantro. Drizzle with olive oil and add salt to taste, mixing well.

5

Serve

Place grilled octopus on a plate, serve with yam and daikon salad, and sprinkle with chopped peanuts for garnish.
