Method

Main Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 7-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Heat the same skillet used for bacon over medium heat and add butter. Once melted, pour in the egg mixture.

  3. 3

    Scramble the Eggs

Allow the eggs to sit for a few seconds, then gently stir with a spatula, pushing the eggs from the edges towards the center. Continue to cook until eggs are just set but still creamy, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.

  4. 4

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread slices until golden brown. You can use a toaster or place them in the oven on broil for a few minutes.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Breakfast

On each plate, place a slice of toasted bread, top with scrambled eggs, and a few slices of crispy bacon. Garnish with chopped chives and serve with hot sauce and syrup on the side for those who want extra flavor.
