Materials

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cut the Leather

Using scissors, cut the leather or faux leather into a rectangle measuring approximately 4 inches by 2.5 inches. This will serve as the main body of the luggage tag.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Card

Cut a piece of cardstock or thick paper into a rectangle that is slightly smaller than the leather piece, approximately 3.5 inches by 2 inches. This will be used for writing your contact information.

  3. 3

    Punch Holes

Using the hole punch, make a hole at the top center of the leather rectangle. This is where the metal ring will go to attach the tag to your luggage.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Attach the Card

Use glue or double-sided tape to affix the cardstock piece to the leather rectangle. Ensure it is centered and press firmly to secure.

  2. 5

    Write Your Information

Using a marker or pen, write your name, phone number, and any other relevant information on the cardstock piece. Make sure the text is legible.

  3. 6

    Insert into Tag Holder

Place the assembled leather tag with the cardstock information into the plastic tag holder to protect it from wear and tear.

  4. 7

    Attach Metal Ring

Thread the metal ring through the hole you punched at the top of the leather tag to create a loop for attaching to luggage.
