Key Chain Components
Method
Key Chain Assembly
- 1
Cut the Strap
Using the scissors, cut the leather strap or fabric to a length of 12 inches. This will be the main body of your keychain.
- 2
Attach the Charm
Take the keychain charm or pendant and attach it to the metal key ring using the jump ring. If the charm has a loop, simply slide it onto the jump ring.
- 3
Prepare the Strap
If you’re using fabric, you may want to apply a small amount of glue to the ends of the strap to prevent fraying. Allow it to dry if you choose to use glue.
- 4
Attach the Strap to the Ring
Fold the strap in half and thread the looped end through the metal key ring. Pull the loose ends of the strap through the loop and tighten to secure.
- 5
Add Lobster Clasp (Optional)
If you wish to add a lobster clasp for easy attachment to bags or belts, attach it to the key ring alongside the charm before securing everything tightly.
