Tuna Tartare

Baguette Croutons

Method

Tuna Tartare Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Finely dice the fresh sushi-grade tuna into small cubes and place it in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix in the Flavors

Add soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, chopped chives, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with tuna. Gently toss to combine all ingredients.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it gently with a fork until creamy but still chunky. Season with a pinch of salt.

  4. 4

    Combine

Fold the mashed avocado into the seasoned tuna mixture gently to maintain the avocado's texture.

Baguette Croutons Preparation

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 6

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  3. 7

    Season the Croutons

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss the baguette slices in the mixture until evenly coated.

  4. 8

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the coated baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
