Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Shortboard Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the Gorgonzola cheese, cream cheese, and unsalted butter. Beat until smooth and well combined.
- 2
Incorporate Dry Ingredients
Gradually add all-purpose flour and powdered sugar to the mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- 3
Add Nuts and Flavor
Fold in the chopped walnuts and honey until evenly distributed.
- 4
Shape the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a piece of parchment paper and shape it into a log. Wrap in the parchment and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- 5
Bake the Shortboard
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove the dough from the refrigerator, slice it into rounds, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- 6
Prepare the Garnishes
While the shortboard is cooling, prepare the garnishes by slicing fresh figs and chopping dried apricots.
- 7
Assemble the Dessert Plate
Once the shortboard cookies have cooled, arrange them on a serving platter with sliced baguette, fresh figs, and dried apricots.
