Caramel Pretzels
Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare Baking Sheet
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking spray.
- 2
Make Caramel Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the brown sugar. Continue to stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for 2-3 minutes without stirring, then remove from heat and add the vanilla extract and sea salt.
- 3
Coat Pretzels
Place the pretzel twists in a large bowl. Pour the caramel sauce over the pretzels and toss gently until all pretzels are well coated.
- 4
Bake
Spread the coated pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until they are bubbly and golden.
- 5
Add Chocolate
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot pretzels. Allow them to sit for 5 minutes to melt, then use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly over the pretzels.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Let the caramel pretzels cool completely on the baking sheet before breaking them into pieces. Serve on a dessert plate.
