Lobster

Garlic Breadcrumbs

Fried Basil

Method

Prepare the Lobster

  1. 1

    Boil the Lobster

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lobster and cook for about 8-10 minutes until it is bright red and cooked through. Remove from water and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Remove the Meat

Once the lobster is cool enough to handle, split it in half lengthwise and remove the meat from the claws and tail. Chop the lobster meat into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Prepare Garlic Breadcrumbs

  1. 3

    Make the Breadcrumb Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the bread crumbs, minced garlic, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 4

    Toast the Breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the breadcrumb mixture on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.

Fry Basil

  1. 5

    Fry the Basil

In a small pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the fresh basil leaves and fry for about 30 seconds until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble and Serve

  1. 6

    Combine and Serve

Spoon the lobster meat into the lobster shells, top with the garlic breadcrumbs, and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until heated through and breadcrumbs are crispy. Garnish with fried basil before serving.
