Hummus

Pita & Crudité

Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Rinse and Drain Chickpeas

Open the can of chickpeas and pour the contents into a colander. Rinse under cold water and let drain.

  2. 2

    Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the rinsed chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves (peeled), lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.

  3. 3

    Process Until Smooth

Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. If the hummus is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time.

  4. 4

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if desired.

  5. 5

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top for garnish.

Pita & Crudité Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Pita Bread

Cut the pita bread into quarters or halves to create wedges for dipping.

  2. 7

    Prepare Vegetables

Wash and peel the carrots, then cut them into sticks. Slice the cucumber and bell pepper into sticks or rounds as desired.

  3. 8

    Arrange on a Platter

On a serving platter, arrange the pita wedges alongside the prepared vegetable sticks for a colorful presentation.
