Method

Preparation of the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low temperature will help cook the ribs slowly and tenderly.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor. Rub the ribs with salt and black pepper evenly on both sides.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

  2. 4

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 5

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  2. 6

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and uncover. Brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce over the ribs, then return them to the oven uncovered.

  3. 7

    Broil for Finish

Broil the ribs for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.

Serving

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
