In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and the elbow macaroni. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Once cooked, drain the macaroni in a colander and set aside.
Making Cheese Sauce

In the same pot used for the pasta, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.

Whisk in 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour and cook for about 1 minute to create a roux.

Slowly pour in 2 cups of milk, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer.

Stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 4 ounces of cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 0.5 teaspoon of cayenne pepper until smooth and creamy.

Add the drained macaroni and cooked gator meat to the cheese sauce. Stir until well combined.
