Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Start by removing the membrane from the back of the pork ribs. This will help the ribs become more tender and allow the flavors to penetrate better.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and dried oregano. Mix well.
- 3
Apply the Dry Rub
Generously apply the dry rub mixture all over the ribs, ensuring every surface is coated. Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Cooking
- 4
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 5
Bake the Ribs
Place the prepared ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and bake for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.
- 6
Prepare the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, and salt to taste in a saucepan. Simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
