Pasta Preparation

Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the fettuccine pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Preparation

Prepare and Cook Chicken
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Slowly add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
