Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix using your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent swelling while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you don't have a grill, you can use a skillet on the stove over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip the patties.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese and Cook Further

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the beef reaches your desired level of doneness.

Preparing Toppings and Assembly

  1. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 7

    Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 8

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, a slice of tomato, pickles, and a generous drizzle of barbecue sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
