Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Au Jus
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the au jus simmer for 15 minutes.
- 2
Toast the Baguette
While the au jus simmers, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 3
Assemble the Sandwich
Layer the sliced prime rib and white cheddar cheese inside the toasted baguette. You can place the sandwich back in the oven for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese if desired.
- 4
Serve
Slice the sandwich into individual portions and serve with a side of au jus for dipping.
