Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Cook the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water, the halved lemon, Old Bay seasoning, and salt to a boil.

  2. 2

    Add Shrimp

Once boiling, add the large shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and are opaque.

  3. 3

    Ice Bath

Remove the shrimp from the pot and immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a few minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain and Chill

Drain the shrimp and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce until well combined.

  2. 6

    Chill

Refrigerate the cocktail sauce until ready to serve.

Making the Remoulade Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix Ingredients

In another small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped capers, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, and salt. Mix well.

  2. 8

    Chill

Refrigerate the remoulade sauce until ready to serve.

Serving the Dish

  1. 9

    Plate the Shrimp

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 10

    Serve with Sauces

Serve the shrimp with the chilled cocktail sauce and remoulade sauce on the side for dipping.
