Wings

Sweet and Spicy Chili Glaze

Method

Preparation of Wings

  1. 1

    Prep the Chicken Wings

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat.

  2. 2

    Bake the Wings

Spread the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until wings are golden brown and crispy.

Making Sweet and Spicy Chili Glaze

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and lime juice. Heat over medium until the mixture begins to simmer.

  2. 4

    Thicken the Glaze

Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Making Teriyaki Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In another saucepan, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens a bit. Remove from heat and set aside.

Coating the Wings

  1. 7

    Glaze the Wings

Once the wings are baked, remove them from the oven. Toss half of the wings in the sweet and spicy chili glaze until fully coated.

  2. 8

    Add Teriyaki Sauce

Toss the other half of the wings in the teriyaki sauce until thoroughly coated. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauces.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Wings

Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve hot with additional dipping sauce on the side if desired.
